Delia was three years old when we adopted her from an animal shelter in Connecticut in September 2016. We named her after Cordelia Lear, the youngest princess in Shakespeare’s King Lear. At 12 pounds, she was the smallest dog in the shelter. Now, at age thirteen, her ears are turning gray, but she is still lively as ever.
